When this house was renovated and an addition was built, the homeowners wanted to add custom electronics while the walls were open. ACT designed, installed and integrated multiple flat screen displays, distributed audio with indoor and outdoor zones, a media room with surround sound, two media mirrors, a computer network and structured wiring.

The homeowners wanted their family room to also function as a media room, but wanted the custom woodwork in the room to be the main focus, not the electronics. ACT suggested a media mirror for the plasma, with all other equipment hidden in the cabinetry. The size of the mirror and the frame were both customized for the client, and the subwoofer was built into the cabinetry behind a grill. When the clients want to turn their conventional family room into a media room, they simply pick up their remote control.
