This client hired ACT to add electronic systems to an existing space, which would become a home theater, “sports bar” and exercise area. ACT designed, installed and integrated a dedicated theater, distributed audio, flat screen displays, and lighting control.
The décor of the theater may be understated, but the design and equipment are anything but. The theater features high-end equipment, 7.2 surround sound, stadium-style seating, pathway rope lighting and ball sconces on the walls. ACT programmed multiplex-style lighting control, so that the play and pause buttons on the remote activate lighting changes, and when the system is shut down, lights gradually come on. A masking wall, designed by ACT, prevents light from entering the room. Both the bar and the exercise area are served by the distributed audio system, and the bar area features a 42″ plasma display and a jukebox (which is part of the audio system).
