ACT was brought in during a renovation and addition to this home. ACT designed, installed and integrated a distributed audio system and flat screen displays, one with surround sound. Two factors made this project unique: the client wanted the electronics to be discreet, and the flat screen in the media room was to be placed in front of a bank of windows. To address these concerns, ACT installed the television on a motorized lift so when it’s not in use, the TV is hidden inside of custom cabinetry. For the best sound quality in the two-story library, ACT installed bookshelf speakers instead of ceiling speakers, tucked discreetly into the bookshelves.
